Care and Recreation (C&R)

Our extended care program (C&R) exists to serve MHCS families by providing appropriate supervision and activities to all currently enrolled students during specified non-school hours. C&R seeks to further the development of each child by maintaining consistency with the standard policies found in the school's Parent-Student Handbook.

Hours and Usage

C&R is available on regular school days from 7:00 am until 8:15 am, and from the end of class until 6:00 pm. On minimum scheduled days, C&R is available from 12:45 pm until 6:00 pm. C & R closes at 5:00 p.m. on the following minimum days: Back-To-School Night, Fridays before Thanksgivning break, Christmas break, and Memorial Day, Open House, and the last day of School in June.

Payment Information

C&R uses an hourly billed and contract billing system. C&R is available at the following hourly rates:

Hourly Rates Contract Rates

• 1 child $7 per hour • 1 child $315 per month
• 2 children $9 per hour • 2 children $405 per month
• 3 or more children $11 per hour • 3 children $495 per month

Fees are billed in fifteen minute increments with a 15-minute grace period after school is out of session. Families who use C&R more than 45 hours per month will benefit from our annual contract. Payments are made in (10) equal monthly payments. Payments are due by the 10th of each month. A $15 late fee will apply after that date.
